B&B Il Casale

Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the place was so quiet while still being well placed for getting around. Breakfast was all homemade, and Mrs. Carla made sure my wife, who is lactose intolerant, had something she could enjoy too. She made the whole family feel at home, including our little dog Hoshi. We had a fantastic stay. See you next time! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

We stayed from August 13 to August 25, 2025, with our Australian Shepherd, Camilla. There was a small pet surcharge, as there usually is at other places, and the green space in front was open to guests and their dogs. Camilla, our “big dog,” could often run around off leash. Breakfast was excellent, with Mrs. Carla's cakes every morning, and we could use the espresso machine and capsules for free throughout the day. Mrs. Antonietta kept the rooms meticulously clean. The problem was sleep. The beds and pillows left our backs hurting and made it hard to rest. The oversized beds may have been part of it, along with the size of the French bed. We changed rooms for the last few days, but that didn't help. I know this is subjective and may relate in part to the guests' size, since not everyone found the beds uncomfortable. Still, a very young, slim woman mentioned having the same trouble. Without the sleeping issue, we might have called the stay perfect.

Set amid greenery but close to the center of Castel di Sangro, this new farmhouse felt relaxing and welcoming. It was a lovely B&B, and the kind, friendly host greeted us with delicious homemade cakes for breakfast. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it.

The owners were courteous and always ready to help. The rooms were new and very clean, and the place had a quiet, family feel. Its location was convenient too, about 2 minutes from Castel di Sangro, 5 from Roccaraso, and 10 from the ski slopes. Highly recommended!
