The bedroom was damp and smelled moldy, with sagging mattresses and cobwebs around the windows and radiators. Hot water came and went, and I was told that happened because it was centralized. There were hairs on the toilet seat. When I raised these problems, the owner acted as if she didn't know. We hadn't seen photos beforehand because a friend booked for us. We were brought through the restaurant and then to an untended, unlit garden with old furniture dumped around like trash. They didn't ask for any documents, and there was no sign of registration.

I didn't personally stay because Castel di Sangro was sold out for the Napoli football match, and we couldn't find another place. The owners were very kind, and the location is excellent for the town's attractions, but the property needs attention before it is ready for families with children. The garden was neglected and dimly lit, while the room and bathroom were damp and run-down. Cleanliness wasn't an issue for me. No guest registration was required, which isn't how a B&B should be run. I'd come back only if the property were brought up to code.

We only stayed a few nights, but came away impressed. The B&B was clean and everything worked, with roomy guest rooms and all the comforts. Giorgia and Salvatore were lovely and friendly. The adjoining restaurant and pizzeria were excellent too: the pizza dough and toppings were both great, and the pizza held its own against the many places in Naples and nearby. The food was excellent value. Their daughter Olimpia deserves a special mention, she's a beautiful, sweet, charming girl and a very good dancer.

The owners made the stay for us, so helpful, welcoming, and genuine. The room was cozy and warm, and the pizza was delicious, whether fried or not. Great value. We were there just for the weekend, but we'd definitely come back.

Giorgia and Salvatore gave us and our four-legged friends such a warm welcome that the weekend was wonderful. Dinner at their restaurant was excellent as well. We'd gladly do it again.
