Amira Palace Hotel

The food was really good, and the rooms were quite large. A very nice hotel.

Spacious rooms, everything very clean, and the staff were friendly.

Breakfast was okay, but the rest of the stay was rough. The heating or AC wasn't working, and both the rooms and the hotel had a horrible smell. It's also out in the middle of an industrial area, with no shops, cafes, or really anything nearby for dozens of kilometres.

The location works well for organized tours heading north, since it's fairly central and takes less time to reach the tours than staying in Verona. For anyone not on an organized trip, though, the industrial area probably isn't a good fit. If you're on a tour and only coming back at night to eat, shower, and sleep, it works quite well. Lunch and dinner are the stronger meals here. The pizza is very good, the pasta is quite good too, and the prices are best for those meals. Breakfast is free, but the quality isn't as good: the salad isn't good and sometimes shouldn't be eaten, and the eggs are always cold, though they taste fresh. The bedroom is quite good, but the bed isn't very comfortable and the pillows are very thin. The bed covers aren't changed while you're staying there. Towels, shampoo, shower caps, and soap are changed every three days. There's no bathtub, so it's a quick shower rather than a bath. In general, it's quite good for organized tours. Note: I didn't take any photos of the hotel or restaurant, so any photos you see from me were posted by mistake or because of a technical issue.
