A lovely place near central Bologna, and there’s a very cute puppy too. Just be aware that the bus outside stops around 8pm, so if you’re out for dinner later, you’ll need a taxi back. That’s not the Villa’s fault.

The maisonette was beautifully furnished, and the bathroom and shower felt state of the art. We could also use the lovely pool at the main villa, just a minute away. The staff were friendly and helpful, though there was no breakfast, and nobody around when we left at 12pm, so we put the keys in a postbox. We chose the place because we had a flight the next day, but getting to the airport by public transport was a nightmare. The bus took 58 minutes for what would have been a 10-minute taxi ride, since it goes into town first, exactly what we didn’t need. We paid 22 euros for a taxi on the way there in heavy traffic, then 30 euros on the return, with an extra charge for coming out from Bologna those two miles. Honestly, if we’d known, we wouldn’t have booked this B&B. If you have a car or don’t mind spending on transport, I can see recommending it.

We spent a few days here on our honeymoon, and it was an amazing place with perfect service. Such a good choice for us.

We’ve only just arrived, but this place is wonderful. They greeted us with tea and coffee. There are just two rooms, Metallica and Cipria, both beautifully decorated with high ceilings. We could easily have stayed the whole week.
