Four Points by Sheraton Bolzano Hotel

The rooms were modern, spacious, and very nice. Reception staff were professional and helpful with arranging taxis and breakfast bags for our early checkout. The facilities were very good, and the sauna was quite an experience. There wasn't much nearby in terms of location.

Sharon made check-in and checkout especially smooth, and the staff were great throughout. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with a decent gym downstairs. The spa was the highlight for me, with a pool, sauna, steam room, and a relaxing area. A really nice stay for a Four Points.

The room felt too warm when we arrived after a long day of travel. Reception suggested opening the windows because it was cooler outside, which helped, though I’d hoped the temperature would already be comfortable. At breakfast the next morning, there was a good range of food, but tables weren’t cleared quickly and we had to wait to be seated. The cook was also taking orders, so the line moved slowly, perhaps because the team was short-staffed. We’d arrived with some concerns already, since one person in our group had run into an issue before the stay. Still, the lobby and room looked nice at first, and we hoped things would go well. My companion had emailed twice several days ahead to request a small sweet gesture for his wife’s birthday on check-in day. At the desk, we were told the messages hadn’t been seen. We know things get busy, but that was disappointing for a special occasion. There’s a pleasant atmosphere and potential here, and better communication, room comfort, and staffing at busy times would improve the stay.

The main inconvenience was having to buy a travel pass separately, since the hotel isn’t part of the free visitor pass program. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to stay near Bolzano, with the train station only a three-minute walk away. The rooms were clean, spacious, and pleasant, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast and other food were nice, though vegetarian choices were very limited.
