The restaurant was superb, and the service was excellent. We stayed in a spacious, well-equipped room in a lovely old building, and the property was very quiet. Our suite cost only a little more than a king room and had two bathrooms plus a sitting room. Outside, there's a large saltwater pool with plenty of loungers, and trails across the extensive vineyards and olive groves lead to spectacular panoramic views.

The wine was delicious, but I wouldn't book a tour here. My family and I planned this for my 60th birthday because we wanted to taste wine and see the gorgeous vineyard shown on the website. The visit didn't match what was advertised, and the four tickets plus rental car came to over 300 euros for a wasted afternoon. We bought the tickets the day before, but when we arrived they didn't seem ready for us. After taking our name, they sent us to the “bar,” where there was no staff and no direction. Someone eventually showed us to a seat, indoors. The wines were barely explained, and the tasting was one sparkling wine and three reds, not what had been advertised. The bartender said there would be a tour, but as more guests arrived, service disappeared. He poured new tastings into glasses already used at our table, mixing them with the wine left inside. After more than 1.5 hours, we heard the receptionist tell other guests about the tour. We asked at the front desk and learned it was in half an hour, the same time our car service was booked. When we said the visit hadn't gone well, the receptionist just said, “ill talk to the company”. We still wanted to take some wine home for a slightly happier ending. We chose a bottle and told her, but she went back to checking in hotel guests instead of helping us buy it. Maybe it was because we were visiting the country and weren't local, but it felt like they didn't care.

The views were breathtaking, and our server knew the wines well. We hadn't reserved, but they took us in for a tasting. For 35€, we got two whites and two reds with a small sample of cheese and salami. All four wimes were excellent. We didn't stay overnight.

The hotel was very nice, and the food and wine were the best parts of our stay. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is that the room walls were so thin we could hear everything from next door.

Such a beautiful place, and really relaxing. I'd definitely recommend staying at least two nights. Breakfast was amazing too, especially the fluffy scrambled eggs and good bacon. I'd happily come back to this lovely hotel.
