Really good host, and a great location!

We had a great time in Castelbuono, and the apartment suited us perfectly. It was clean, very quiet, and in a great spot. One day a greengrocer came by in his van, so we could buy fresh vegetables right outside. Communication was easy and always very quick. We'd highly recommend it!

I'm giving one star because zero isn't an option. Getting in was fairly easy, but the four flights of stairs were narrow and quite dangerous. We had asked for the heating, or heat pump, to be turned on, yet the room was 14°C when we arrived. The unit showed 30°C but only blew lukewarm, sometimes cold air, and couldn't heat the room. We could only get undressed for bed by turning on the kitchenette stove. The converted room was far too minimal to be called an "apartment," in my opinion. There was basically no wardrobe or counter space, and the kitchenette was also extremely bare. The bed and pillows were both horribly uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny, had no counter space at all, and, above all, NO BIDET!! We left the next morning despite having paid for 6 days. When we contacted the host about the problems, he started boasting about his "transparency" and pointing to his (real?!?) positive reviews. He never brought up a partial refund, though we hadn't asked for one. Maybe he doesn't often see €370.

Parking was easy, and the area was quiet and peaceful, just a stone's throw from the center. The apartment was cozy and clean, with everything we needed. Thanks, Giuseppe, for being so friendly and helpful. Hope to see you again soon.
