I Cugini

We keep coming back when we want a simple, genuine meal instead of eating at home. The prices are very reasonable, the service is friendly, and the desserts are all homemade, though simple. The place looks plain, but the food is wonderful, with good variety and consistently nice ingredients from local farmers. Nothing feels fancy, more like eating at your grandmother's. You don't really need to check a menu since the waiter tells you what's being served that day, and those dishes are always the best. To start, there are local hams, salami, and cheeses, including tasty hand-carved prosciutto. The first courses are usually two kinds of homemade pasta with different sauces, and they'll also make a pasta sauce you ask for. For the main course, there's generally a choice of grilled meats, plus a fish dish on Fridays. The homemade kettle chips are delicious, and there are seasonal vegetables prepared the way you like.
