Grand Hotel Santa Maria

Santa Maria di Castellabate is beautiful, and so is the hotel. It sits on the edge of town, but getting to the center is an easy walk. The beach nearby is less crowded than the central beaches, with clear water, fine sand, and a few larger stones. Our deluxe room had a sea-view balcony, comfortable beds, a great shower, and quiet air conditioning. The hotel also has a shuttle service, spacious lounges, and peaceful spots to relax. When you book directly with the hotel, sunbeds and umbrellas are included, and a beach bar brings service right to your lounger. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind: arrive at breakfast after 9:30 and the selection may be limited. It was a very relaxing stay, and I’d happily return.

We had a great time in Santa Maria. The views were beautiful, the location made getting to the beach easy, and our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the tasty breakfast, food, and drinks. We’d definitely come back. Highly recommended :)

Five stars don’t really cover it, I’d give it at least ten! The sea horizon was incredible from every room, and the sea was crystal clear beside the beautiful private beach. We loved the spa, the comfortable rooms and spaces, and the amazing food, from breakfast through dinner. The staff made such an effort throughout our stay to keep us happy and satisfied. We’re left feeling grateful to everyone at the hotel.

A fab hotel for a day on the beach and evenings in town. It’s right on the beach, and town is a five-minute walk away with a great choice of restaurants. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Our bed was just right, and the bathroom had an excellent shower and plenty of storage, including in the shower. The air conditioning was very welcome with daily temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s. I could have used a bit more space for unpacking suitcases. Breakfast was filling, with cheese, cold cuts, cereal, chopped fruit, and a table full of cakes.
