Hotel Il Cefalo

After lunch, there’s a lovely path along the sea to walk and enjoy when you’re full. The restaurant itself was a wonderful afternoon, with divine atmosphere, food, and service. I ordered an almond, chocolate, and coffee dessert that was out of this world. Hats off to the chef, the food was on another level. This may be the best restaurant I’ve tried in Italy. Go enjoy it.

The people made us feel like family, even though we're Americans who speak very little Italian. This family-run hotel was warm and welcoming, and we couldn’t have enjoyed the visit more. The setting is beautiful, the hotel is top notch, and both the food and hospitality were first class. We’ll be thinking about the view, the water, the meals, and the family for a long time. Can’t wait to return.

The little market connected to the hotel is run by Rosalinda, and she’s really sweet. She makes great sandwiches and salads for a simple lunch, and sells lovely fruit, vegetables, and homemade jams. The produce was so sweet it seemed as if she’d opened the fruit and added a spoonful of sugar. We even took some home after a shopping trip. The hotel itself is small but high quality, family run, very clean, and in excellent repair, with attention to the details. The food was great, the view marvelous, and it’s right on a beach in a small town without crowds or noise. Staff were friendly and professional. Giuseppe on the beach was especially helpful and considerate. All the servers were great, with Naomi and Marina standing out. Giuseppe and Michelle at reception were great too. The whole experience felt better than what any five-star hotel could offer.

I had the best time at Il Cefelo and wish I could have stayed longer to try more from the menu. The food was amazing, and the restaurant and bar prices were good. Every staff member I met was kind and excellent, with service well beyond what I expected. Thanks for the hospitality, Nicole & Pier Luigi, and everyone else I met during my stay. I’ll definitely return to Il Cefelo and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
