What made our week so memorable was the warmth of the family. Andrea, Anna, their grown sons Costabile and Alfonso, and Iolanda, who served breakfast, were always friendly and gracious. Costabile and Alfonso speak very good English, but were glad to let us practice Italian, and shared lots of useful ideas for places to explore nearby. We really didn't want to leave and hope to come back soon. Residenza d'Epoca Olimpia is in Santa Maria di Castellabate, just a few minutes' walk from the town center and a sandy beach with clear, clean swimming water. Our room faced the quiet hillside at the back, though some rooms look out to sea. We loved the spacious patio above the water, where breakfast was served under hanging grapevines and where we watched the sunset. The hotel occupies a magnificent stone building from the 1600s, renovated from top to bottom by the Famiglia Di Sessa. The rooms are modern, very clean, and have all the conveniences, while the original character of the building is still there. My husband and I spent a week in September and both felt this was one of our favorite hotels ever.

That terrace was a highlight for us, especially having breakfast there each morning. We came in early July and loved the character of the beautifully preserved building. Our room's balcony faced the sea, with incredible views that made it feel like a postcard. The two brothers running this family hotel were so friendly and helpful. A relaxed, lovely place in a great location.

The terrace and its view are fantastic, and breakfast was wonderful. The owner was so kind and helpful, and gave us local tips too. We loved our stay and thought Castellabate was well worth visiting in the off season.

We spent eight nights here and would happily come back. Our sea-view room was a good size, spotless, and had a very comfortable bed. Even little things like plenty of wardrobe hangers made a difference over a longer stay. Breakfast had lots of choice and was really good. The family running Residenza tried to think of everything we might need, and arranged transfers from Agropoli station at a very reasonable price. We took the local community bus to see a few places along the Cilento coast, but Santa Maria di Castellabate was our favorite, with its cafés, restaurants, and lovely beaches. Highly recommend this Residenza.

The beach is only about 100 meters away, just a few steps from the hotel. I stayed here with my daughter and we found the rooms very comfortable. Staff were amazing, and it felt very safe. Breakfast was nice and included in our price. Great value!
