Baldo was very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, and gave us useful ideas for places to visit. We stayed eight nights in a sea-view apartment, with Ettore, our golden retriever, who was made to feel right at home and has apparently become the neighborhood mascot! The property is right by the beach, which made for some lovely walks. Each apartment has its own terrace, and there’s also a shared patio. Outside, we had private parking, a barbecue area, and showers. The apartment itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a washing machine and microwave. The owner was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the apartment was very clean and well equipped. The sofa bed, though, wasn’t comfortable. What a disappointment about the sea view. It’s blocked by an awful sign and the restaurant’s corrugated metal roof, something neither Airbnb nor Booking mentions. We live in Belgium and had hoped for that view 🙏. We can’t recommend it. On top of that, the restaurant pump runs around the clock, and the constant noise made for a miserable night 😏.

It’s a very quiet area, with no nightlife, but restaurants, pizzerias, and bars are close enough to reach on foot. A well-stocked supermarket is only a few minutes away by car. The biggest plus for us was crossing the road straight onto beautiful Playa beach. The apartment is comfortable and has the basics for cooking, plus a washing machine, microwave, and barbecue. The owner was friendly and helpful, and answered our requests quickly. On-site parking was handy too.

The owner was very polite and helpful, and the sea is less than 100 meters away. There’s a pizzeria and restaurant downstairs. Along the beach you’ll find plenty of places for dinner and aperitifs, with umbrellas and deckchairs too. A perfect spot!!!

The host was so kind and helpful, and the apartment was comfortable and clean. Even though there’s a pizzeria below, the place stayed peaceful and quiet. The beach is right outside. Castellammare del Golfo’s center is about a five-minute drive, with a market and restaurant nearby. It’s also well placed for the Zingaro Nature Reserve, Erice, and Segesta.
