The host was kind and helpful, and our apartment was fairly spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. We also had a terrace with a lovely view of Guida Loca Bay and a beautiful starry sky at night. The beach has pebbles and sand, so water shoes are a good idea. The sea is clear and gets deep quickly, and there are both private beach clubs and a public beach. Getting there on foot is the main drawback. The I Faraglioni apartment sits in lovely countryside on a hillside, but access involves dirt roads and a busy stretch. The sea may look close, but the walk means using a busy, dangerous road with no sidewalk, which is highly inadvisable with children. It would be good to mention this on the website, and signage improvements through a report to the municipality would be appreciated. Driving to a parking lot near the sea is another option, though that’s inconvenient. Scopello is already very small, and with amenities too far to reach on foot, having a car is essential. Inside, there’s only one small closet for both rooms and it smells musty. There’s no bidet or mosquito netting, and the Wi-Fi is unreliable.

Giuseppe was kind from the start and shared helpful tips for exploring the area. The apartment was in excellent condition, clean, and equipped with all the comforts we needed, including a sea-view terrace. The property is made up of several apartments among olive trees, and it’s well placed for nearby cities like Palermo, Trapani, and Marsala, as well as coastal spots such as Riserva dello Zingaro and San Vito lo Capo. Guidaloca beach is a ten-minute walk away. We had a dream of a stay and highly recommend it.

For us, who weren’t two families, the "Vilo dei Gabbiani" house felt magical. It was a peaceful, tranquil place, and I left my heart there. Giuseppe and his wife were fantastic, always available with help or advice. We stayed in the largest house, with a wonderful porch and a pool that was cleaned daily. The property was beautiful and spotless, and it met our needs. You can see the sea from there, it’s breezy, and it’s easy to reach other places. The sea is also close enough to walk to.

Cala Rossa was a useful base for exploring the area when we stayed at the end of August. The beach is about 400 meters away, but getting there means walking along the main road, which didn’t feel very safe, so driving is better. One issue is that neither the bedroom nor the bathroom has a window. We slept in the living room, which had a window and air conditioning, but it could be a problem for a family of more than three. I honestly don’t understand why the place is called an Agriturismo.
