La Chiusa Case Vacanze

Getting around from this property was easy, with quick access to both town and the beach. Cala Petrolo is nearby if you like pebbles; for sand, a ten-minute drive gets you to Spiaggia Plaja, with several lidos, broad pale-sand beaches, and shallow water for kids. Mr. Giuseppe was welcoming, friendly, and willing to help with vacationers' needs. One practical snag: there are windows but no balconies or washing machine, so drying swimsuits and towels takes some figuring out. On the first floor, I angled a drying rack toward the shower to keep water off the floor. I noticed guests in the ground-floor apartments putting their racks outside on the street by the entrance.

We had a spacious apartment for our two nights, just a few steps from the center and the port. The town is beautiful, and nearby Scoppello is a real gem. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The apartment was large and very clean, and the property itself is lovely. The pots and pans were a bit rusty, and one was broken, though we managed. The owner was helpful, but a few things could have gone better. She forgot our departure day, and my girlfriend had to contact her that morning so we wouldn't miss boarding the ferry. There was also a €50 cleaning charge that hadn't been listed or mentioned by the agency arranging our trip. One evening she called at 10:30 PM because someone had damaged the main door lock. I understand why she was concerned, but we might have been asleep then. A great property with several things to improve.

La Chiusa is just 15 meters from the Castellammare harbor promenade, and parking is available in the little square out front with a vacation rental pass. The well-finished mini apartments are very clean and comfortable, can sleep up to 6 people, and include Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen. The quality for the price is excellent. What else is there to say?
