B&B Acqua Azzurra

These are such nice people, and they’re really helpful. It feels like being at home here. I’d always recommend them.

The bathroom looked a little worn, though it was perfectly usable. The room itself was clean.

The host was kind and friendly, and the room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. But the noise made it unbearable. There’s a lot of traffic on the street below, with cars, motorcycles, and horns going until 2 or even 3 in the morning. The window is so thin it felt as if we were sleeping right out on the street. We could hear the other rooms too, since the soundproofing between them wasn’t any better. They really need double-glazed windows.

The owner was helpful, and the room was clean and tidy, but we had trouble with breakfast timing. It was served at the bar across the street. One day the owner gave us the wrong information about when breakfast would be ready, so we missed our train. On another day, the bar wasn’t open at the stated time, and its shutters were still down at 7:30 a.m., making us late again. The room was on the third floor with no elevator, and the common area only had a microwave, with nothing else in the kitchen. Sound carried poorly between rooms.
