La Terrazza sul Porto

The landlady was so kind and helpful, and the place is right in the town centre. There’s a big kitchen and a huge terrace looking out to sea. I’d definitely recommend spending some time here.

We only managed to stay about an hour after arriving on December 26th. The apartment was really cold, and the room’s air conditioning still hadn’t warmed it after an hour. There was a radiator in the bathroom, but it wasn’t switched on. Even though the room was small, the air conditioning didn’t seem able to heat it properly. The lady was kind on the phone. Still, we sat on the bed without touching anything or using any of the amenities, and I would have appreciated not being charged the full rate for a three-night stay. She wanted half the price instead.

Domenica made a big difference from the start. She got in touch to check we had all the information we needed and was flexible about check-in and check-out. The room was bright and spacious, with a gorgeous terrace, and the amenities and her warmth went beyond what we expected. Alice, the adorable dog, was a lovely extra. We’ll definitely come back.

We landed very late because of a delayed flight, at 2:00 in the morning, and Domenica still welcomed us with her familiar smile. She was incredibly kind and helpful throughout. Although it’s her home, she left us to ourselves, so we had complete privacy and our own bathroom. The location is great, just steps from the centre, the seafront, and the port for boats to Capri and Positano. Castellammare di Stabia is beautiful. If you’re on foot like we were, this is a convenient place to stay, and the hospitality makes it feel like home.
