The pastries at breakfast weren’t fresh and clearly seemed left over from the day before. The room also had poor soundproofing. And cleanliness was disappointing from the moment we arrived: there was hair and other debris on the bathroom floor. We told the owner, who cleaned it in a gross way. I lifted the pillow and found another hair, then unfolded the towel and found yet another. Poor attention to detail.

The location is very handy, with plenty of nearby places to eat and drink and the Castellana Caves within walking distance. The ground-floor rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, and the bathrooms have windows, which was a plus. There’s also lots of convenient parking. A great choice for visiting the area, with convenience really at the heart of the place.

We were unsure about booking because of the reviews, but for the price, the place turned out to be excellent. It’s a great B&B in the Grotte area, not far from Polignano. There are several brand-new, roomy cabins with air conditioning, a TV, and a fridge. The bathroom had a clean, comfortable shower.

The caves are only a few meters away, and the price was reasonable: €110 for bed and breakfast for four people. I stayed with my wife and our two toddlers, and we found the place welcoming and quiet. Our room was spacious, air-conditioned, and had a lovely window. The anteroom and bathroom were very roomy too, with everything we needed. Breakfast was generous, with delicious warm croissants. The owner was attentive to our requests and helpful. Thanks, see you again soon.

We chose the place for its price and location, and it let us visit all the surrounding towns. It’s a new, quiet, welcoming property with all the comforts, plenty of parking, and a very comfortable bed. There’s a large outdoor area with a table and chairs. I stayed with my partner and we had a great time. The owner was very friendly and kind, and quickly sorted out a problem for me, which I really appreciated.
