You'll need a car here. We stayed in a lovely apartment that worked perfectly for the family, and booking through Airbnb was easy. Lara was lovely, as was her dog Zara. The garden was lovely too, and the well-kept pool kept the kids busy most of the time. There are lovely beaches nearby, and the hills are great for walks. Firenze and Pisa are close enough for day trips, though be ready to spend a lot in Firenze. For a classic Italian experience, I'd recommend San Gimignano, and there are other charming little towns and villages around as well. Cascata del Ghiaccione is a hidden gem about half an hour away. Look up the guides for how to get there. Go early and parking is easy, and it won't be busy.

The place is clean and in great condition. There's a nice beach nearby, and the host was friendly and helpful. Super place!

The food was simple but really good, and everyone was so friendly. Lara is a wonderful person. It felt like we were part of the family, something we rarely experience, and our few days there were among our best stays ever. Thank you, Lara and everyone, for such a lovely time. Grazia and Max. We came in July and felt at home straight away, even though our Italian was very poor. We arrived late, but Lara had made us a delicious meal, such a warm welcome. Her olive oil is excellent, too.
