The chef is a real pro, and dinner each night was a culinary delight. Set near a mountain river, the hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy a mountain stay. The evenings were fascinating, and we love this place for an eco holiday in the Dolomity, in summer or winter. Brilliant hotel, really fantastic!

I was glad I stopped at the Pontrelli shop, which is easy to find near the center of Cavalese. It has an interesting, varied selection of art and gifts. I visited in February 2016, and the owner took the time to explain where her goods came from and which artisans made them. She also kindly shared her knowledge of the Trentino region and her country, in English, drawing on a lifetime as a local resident and arts expert. Her suggestions for museums and restaurants were wonderful, and I appreciated the tips on history, culture, and language.
