A great spot to unwind near Mantova, with the owners taking excellent care of everything. The rooms are probably the most perfect you’ll find in an agricultural setting, thanks to the daughter and interior designer Giulia.

The food alone makes this place worth stopping for. I’d try the fettuccine with duck and mushrooms, and definitely leave space for chocolate cake with plum jam and ice cream. In the morning there’s a buffet of homemade cakes. This family farm is a hidden gem. The daughter, a Milanese architect, redesigned it, bringing a very cool industrial chic look into the old walls. It’s gorgeous and tasteful, like something from a design magazine.

We loved our room, especially its unusual bathroom looking out over the fields. Corte Maindola is a real hidden gem. The family are modest and humble, but the homemade food was incredibly delicious, especially the ravioli, and the wine was sublime. Thank you for making our time in Italy so beautiful.

We only booked one night and immediately wished we’d stayed longer. Corte Mainolda is a charming agriturismo in the middle of a small, quiet village, close to Mantova and other lovely Italian cities and villages. We had dinner and breakfast outside on the terrace behind the main building. The renovated rooms are comfortable, with lovely materials and historic features, and the design matches the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely return to Corte Mainolda!

We’ve stayed here several times already, and if we could give it six stars, we would! The interior design is perfect, the setting is quiet, and the hosts are super friendly. Great food, hospitality, and location.
