B&B Al Cuore Del Borgo

A charming, lovely place to stay. We were there at the end of October, and the great Autofed stove kept us warm through the night.

We arrived late in the evening with our one-year-old, after being told they’d at least make sure the house was warm. Instead it was freezing and damp. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the heater kept having problems and switching off every 10 minutes. My partner and I have been dealing with acute sinusitis for 15 days since the stay. The floor was dirty too, with hair everywhere, apparently left by previous guests. When my son woke up, he couldn’t even crawl on it. I rarely write reviews because I respect other people’s work, but I feel I have to mention this. Maria, if I remember her name correctly, asked us not to leave the heater on for too long instead of trying to sort things out. I didn’t find her welcoming or helpful in finding a solution. The lady or manager showed no empathy, and I think she needs to change jobs. Highly not recommended.

The balcony looks out over the mountains, and the location is peaceful despite being right in the historic center. The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the service impeccable. It feels like a little corner of paradise, and it’s a place dear to my heart.

The view from the room is enchanting, and Castelmezzano as a whole is beautiful. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Vincenzo welcomed us in a discreet, attentive, family-friendly way. Breakfast was plentiful, including excellent donuts from the owner of...Cuore. This is a good fit for slow tourism and for anyone looking for harmony between nature and human activity. The residents’ work caring for such a beautiful, challenging area is commendable and deserves support.
