About this property
The Locanda di Casalmustia is located in the heart of Tuscany, in the small medieval village of Castelmuzio, rich in history and tradition and surrounded by the natural and artistic beauty of the Val d'Orcia and Val di Chiana. Inside the imposing medieval tower that dominates the central square of the village, the Locanda di Casalmustia is spread over three levels. The ground floor houses the reception for welcoming guests and the café for breakfast and aperitifs for our guests. The Locanda's 7 rooms are located on the top two floors of the tower, accessible by stairs. They are tastefully furnished and equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning (for a fee) and heating. Please contact the recenption a few days before your arrival to make an appointment for check-in. Breakfast is not included and is available for a fee at the bar

We come here every day. It’s our local coffee shop, and the two people working here are so charming and lovely. The coffee is always great, and the pastries are honestly too good. You might end up gaining weight from all the delicious things. The patio is a lovely place to sit with a coffee in the quiet piazza. I’d highly recommend it.

I came here regularly for breakfast for a month while staying in the area. The people serving were lovely and friendly, and the pastries and caffe were fresh. I loved sitting outside, so do that if you get the chance.

We ate here twice while staying next door in Castelmuzio. The tagliatta, tagliatelle, and cheese platter were delicious. The service was friendly and pleasant, and the wine list is short but about right.

We walked a long way hoping to have lunch, only to find the place closed. The owner should put the correct opening hours on Google.

The rooftop view is spectacular, and they let us go up after our meal even though the weather had ruled out our planned terrace seating. Getting to it is another matter: the last part involves two very steep staircases and an entrance about the size of a window, so it may not be accessible for everyone. We were dropped off because I wasn't sure about parking. The village is beautiful, and the restaurant suits its setting. The local-style food was delicious and the service excellent.
