Borgo San Gusmè

We were back at Borgo San Gusme last week for our second stay, and it was another wonderful break. The apartment had a lovely Tuscan style, set in a beautiful medieval town. Lorenzo's private garden is beautifully tended and a lovely place to relax. Daniela and Lorenzo are great hosts, always greeting you with big smiles and happy to answer questions or offer tips. We'll be back 😍

We love coming back to San Gusme, and Lorenzo and Daniela make every holiday feel perfect. The apartments are beautiful, the views are stunning, and the garden is amazing. They're the best hosts we could imagine. Hope to see you both again soon. We'll be back.

More than eight years after we first met Lorenzo Vanni by chance at a nearby cafe’ in the hilltop village of San Gusmè, we came back to Tuscany. This time we stayed nine days at Borgo San Gusmè with another couple, exploring Tuscany and enjoying the village, vineyards, olive groves, and woods. Our first meeting was back in fall 2016, and we quickly found we shared a love of art, food, travel, and family. We exchanged some social media photography and talked about returning to Tuscany one day to stay in a flat at the wonderful Borgo San Gusmè with Lorenzo and Daniela. We finally made it happen, and the Vanni’s gave us such selfless, thoughtful hospitality throughout. The accommodations had everything considered, and by the end, the Vanni’s felt like close friends. That kind of connection is rare when you travel. If you're heading to Tuscany and want to be looked after like family, give Borgo San Gusmè strong consideration. You'll be glad you did, and better for the experience.

We had a lovely vacation at Borgo San Gusme’. Lorenzo and Daniele were truly excellent hosts, and the place itself was just as lovely. If you enjoy cycling, Lorenzo will take you wherever you want to go. As we say in Veneto, really, really beautiful.
