Mulino di Quercegrossa

We loved the atmosphere here, especially the pretty garden terrace. The food was great and the wine was local, making this one of the best places we ate during our holiday. If we come back to Tuscany, we'll definitely return.

We had a great evening and loved the food, with service and hospitality that made the whole experience even better. The aged beef was delicious, cooked just right, with a crust outside and rare medium inside. A fantastic vintage setting in the middle of the wineries for dinner.

The owner is genuine and friendly, and makes you feel welcome right away. For traditional Tuscan food, you can't go wrong here. The food is authentic and exquisite, and even the focaccia is good. The ossobuco and peposo dell’impruneta al vino are musts. The Pici con ragù di cinghiale is just Devine, and the cacio e pepe version is great too. See photos.

Terrible experience. The manager says our family walked out without paying, so here's what happened. We had 3 accommodations there, so how were we supposed to escape payment? My father-in-law left his card along with a 20 euros tip, despite the poor treatment. The manager basically kicked us out because they were in a rush. Before that, nothing was wrong besides the bad atmosphere and the staff's sad faces, which I understand better now that I've met the boss. He wanted to close at 21:30, something we didn't know. Which restaurant in the world closes at 21:30? After all the arguing, caused by his rudeness, we went back to our rooms feeling awful. He came right after us, acting as if we hadn't paid. We'd actually forgotten the card with the bill. Such a liar and a bad person, making excuses for all his bad behavior like a rat. Good luck with your management, sir.
