The villa is quiet, comfortable, and well equipped, set on lovely grounds within the Villa di Arceno estate. It takes about a 10-minute drive to reach the main road, but the roads and property throughout the estate are very well maintained. Castelnuovo Berardenga has a nice grocery store, Coop, and there are several good restaurants in town and the nearby villages. Siena is about a 35 minute drive and offers plenty of sights, restaurants, and shopping. The house notebook is a useful, reliable guide to local restaurants and activities. We also had a really wonderful cooking class with Andrea, and for everything it includes, it was a great bargain. This makes a lovely base for exploring Tuscany and Umbria by car, and I'd highly recommend it.

The large pool was a lovely way to unwind after a day out, while the Brunello had time to breathe before the antipasti. And there are plenty of day trip options: Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Florence, Lucca, Arezzo, and Pisa are all between a 30-minute and 2-hour drive away. The nearby ancient towns of San Gusmé and Castelnuovo also have fine restaurants. Villa "La Cappella" feels like an architectural gem, and the website photos match what you find in person. It brings historic architecture together with modern comfort, with carefully chosen furnishings and all the amenities of a 5-star villa. From the patio, the Tuscan countryside stretches out in beautiful views, with vineyards, olive groves, rolling hills, and cypress trees all around. It's an oasis of calm. The service on site deserves a mention too. The villa was spotless when we arrived, and the guest basket had essential groceries that made the long journey easier since we didn't have to shop right away. The handbook is clear and very helpful, and the owners took care of every detail and need. I'm already looking forward to another stay at "La Cappella". Thank you for those unforgettable days!

It's wonderfully peaceful here, with nature all around. The place is clean and nicely furnished, and the pool, lawn, and plants are all well cared for. You can ask for cooking classes or dinners, and eating outside on the big veranda with that view is a delight. Seems perfect for a family holiday or a couple's getaway.
