The restaurant is lovely, with a beautiful outdoor area and lunch and dinner service. Siena is only about a 10-minute drive away. A real Italian experience in the hills, and I’d recommend it 100%!

The restaurant next door was the highlight: the beef medallion with Chianti sauce was perfect. It’s also handy for the bus stop and taxis into Siena. My room was pleasant and the patio was nice, with strong hot water in the small shower. Everything worked, though the Wi-Fi came and went. Just remember this is a rustic countryside inn, so the rooms are what you’d expect.

The villa has both a pool and a hot tub, and parking is right by the building. Staff were sweet, the atmosphere was nice, and the rooms were clean, with everything needed for a pleasant Tuscany stay. The spot is great for getting around the heart of Tuscany, with places like Monterigioni a short distance away. I did wish the rooms had proper air conditioning, and the setting didn’t offer much of a view compared with similar villas nearby.

That was the worst welcome. They only asked for our passports and explained nothing. We travel a lot and are friendly, positive people, which often helps us connect with B&B owners, so we were left standing there with our mouths open. The room also looked nothing like the photos, and the owner seemed not to care about guests. We’d booked two nights. One night was already one too many.
