Lovely setting.

I felt unsafe, watched, and deeply uncomfortable during my stay. While I was away, the owner and her employees entered the apartment several times without telling me, using keys they had, even though this was against the rental agreement. I found out after one visit when they let my cat escape. They contacted me to say it had gotten out and that they would return it once they found it. I had given permission for one entry, but not the others. They also took away a curtain and later charged me for it, saying I had taken it. I tried to explain how absurd that accusation was, but after the anxiety they had caused, I chose to leave as soon as I could. At the end of each contract, they also tried to increase the rent with unreasonable excuses based on their needs. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I’m considering legal action. Highly not recommended.

The apartment was beautiful, well cared for, and clean. The owner was especially kind and helpful, and I had a great time. I’ll definitely return.

The big problem started when I called Sabrina on the afternoon of July 14, 2018, to ask where to collect the keys. We were due to arrive that evening around 10:30 PM, but she hadn’t recorded our reservation and had no room for us. I’d booked in April through Wonderbox, using a 3-day, 2-night package worth €120.00 because the property was only minutes from Gardaland. Sabrina had asked for the completed Wonderbox form and charged another €48 for the two nights. She asked me to forward the confirmation email to check whether I’d got the date wrong, even though we had agreed on the date. We have two children, aged 3 and 5, and finding somewhere else at that time of year, so late in the day, wasn’t easy. She couldn’t find us a place to stay, so she put us in a room at her mother’s house, in an apartment building not far from where the baby is located. In the middle of the night we had to find the building and carry our luggage upstairs with two sleeping children. We had to get them up early, make breakfast for the baby anyway, carry everything back down to the car, drive to the baby, and unload it all again with both children. Breakfast there was meager and mediocre. At the end of this improvised stay, she still asked us for the €48 supplement for both nights, including the one arranged at the last minute. For €170, we could have stayed at a hotel with many more comforts. We weren’t given towels or even sheets for the travel cot our little girl slept in. I strongly advise against this place.
