We spent a day hiking here while staying in Klausen for a few days in September 2023. We drove over early, parked, and stayed out all day taking in the scenery, walking through woods and meadows, and seeing the cows. It was amazing.

There are several cable cars to get up here, so check which one fits what you want to do at the top. Otherwise you could land on the wrong side and have hours of walking to get where you meant to go. Once there, you’ll find restaurants for lunch and several free restrooms. We saw surprisingly many people with dogs and kids. A fantastic spot for a day of adventure, highly recommended!

There are so many trails and lovely views that you could easily spend a full day here, maybe longer. Parking is free, and the gondola costs about 38 euros for two people, round trip.

The views are spectacular, and taking the cable car up opens up an incredible hike of 11-12 KM. When you get off, turn left and follow the trail. Later you can either stay on the road or turn right and climb through a little forest. That uphill section is steep, but very much worth it. Go past the first restaurant and keep going uphill, then pass the second one as well. Follow the trail from there and you’ll be rewarded. Komoot has the hiking trail too.

The scenery is stunning, and a sunny day gives you the clearest, most spectacular views. Even with a few clouds, it’s still a wonderful place to visit, but it’s at its most breathtaking when the sky is clear.
