Getting around without a car was still fine because the hotel gives you a free bus pass. Buses come about once an hour and take around 10 minutes to reach the center of Ortisei. The uphill walk back took us closer to 15 minutes, partly because of the incline and partly because we kept stopping 😂. A car would still be the easiest way to arrive. We loved Luxury B&B August. The mountain view from across the hotel was amazing, the breakfast had delicious, high-quality products, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Everything felt spotless and brand new. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the shower was practical and comfortable. The hotel is modern, cozy, and very well maintained. We'd recommend it and would happily stay again.

We left feeling unwelcome, which was our strongest impression. Looking back at the reviews at the end of the stay, we realized we should have taken them more seriously and looked more closely into what ski-in/ski-out meant here. The hotel has a nice interior after a recent renovation, and breakfast was decent, though choices for special diets such as vegan were limited. Housekeeping staff were kind, but reception staff less so. They give you information by QR code and didn't seem very willing to explain things further. For our ski trip with children, getting to the slopes was difficult. You can't ski straight down from the top to the hotel unless you're a semi-professional comfortable on black runs, especially with kids, since the slope isn't protected. There is transport from the gondola to the hotel, but the gondola is more than 100 meters away. The downhill path can be icy, so take care. Ski-out is possible, but the ride connecting you to the ski gondola costs extra. The hotel gives free access to a spa center described as a 10-minute walk away, but it took us about 15 minutes over very steep ground. If it's slippery, don't even try. It's a public city spa, with waits of 15 to 45 minutes. We couldn't use the sauna because it was full, and the hotel itself has no sauna or other spa facilities.

The washlet system was a real bonus. It's rare in Europe, even at five-star hotels, and we appreciated having one here. We loved this family-run place: everything is new and shiny, and both the owner and staff are very friendly. Ski-in and ski-out access and a ski room with heated lockers were fantastic. Breakfast was lovely, with high-quality food. Even the placemat was a brand from Denmark, the same as we have at home. The little details make a difference.

We visited in May during the off-season to hike, so I can't comment on skiing. For our trip, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this recently renovated local B&B, open since Dec 2025. The staff were super nice, the modern rooms were beautiful and spacious, the balconies had good views, and breakfast was a great buffet. The only downside was having no phone in the room to call reception, and no staff available 24 hours. Still highly recommended, and we'd stay again.

The location works for skiing on the Alpe di Siusi side of the mountain, with ski-in and ski-out access. To reach Seceda, you need public transport, so check the timetable in advance. The hotel is new, the facilities are top quality and high-tech, and the attention to detail is impressive. Breakfast was excellent, the view was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!
