The directions were a problem: there's only one road in, and maps doesn't know the way, so be ready to ask a local. Once there, the staff were incredibly rude from the moment I arrived. A booking error on their end meant I was charged twice for my one-night stay. In the bathroom, I found someone else's underwear. The shower was tiny and its drain was so clogged that water flooded the bathroom up to my ankles. By the time it drained enough to open the door, water had spread through my hotel room and soaked a lot of my belongings. Breakfast the next morning was subpar at best. There are plenty of other hotels in the same area with the same view. Don't waste your time with these greedy, incompetent, rude italians.

The dinner service was surprisingly good, and for one of the cheapest hotels up there, the place is clean, good value, and has newly renovated bathrooms. I gave it 4 stars because the woman at reception really wasn't welcoming. I felt like I was bothering her the whole time and didn't feel welcome. I don't think she'll change her attitude at her age, so I'd suggest putting someone more service oriented in that role.

It's a small, homey place where you can relax and have fun, and everyone is very friendly. A wonderful place to stay in Dolomites. The rates are very reasonable and the service is up to mark.

We found the price reasonable for the area and the stay, so four stars feels fair. We had half pension. Breakfast was great, while dinner was just ok: a small salad buffet, a good first course, and a second course that was ok with chicken but not good at all with fish. Dessert was small and not much to speak of. There was plenty of parking in front, plus a bike storage room with plugs. The hotel also rents out a small fleet of new-looking, decent quality full suspension e-MTBs for less than the shops in town. Our family of three adults stayed in a 3-bed room. The main bedroom area was very tight, with a double bed and a fold down sofa for the third person. But the enclosed balcony gave us room to sit out, with two huge windows, one that slides open, three proper chairs, and two small tables. We could hear alpine cowbells from the herd on the nearby hill. The guy we mostly dealt with at the front desk spoke only Italian and German, so English speakers might find communication challenging. Thankfully, I speak some German. The woman at checkout spoke English well. This feels more like an “Italian” place than the more Germanic/Austrian spots in town.

The food is tasty, though it gets repetitive, with similar dishes coming up again. If guests leave something uneaten, it seems to appear in a different dish the next day. That's zero waste, but it made me wonder whether the food was fresh. At lunch, the hotel fills up with kids from skischools. The rooms are old, but the staff are amazing, and being right on the slope is a great location. I'd still recommend the place.
