Residence Trocker

We were there between ski season and the arrival of the hikers, so the building was almost empty. The woman at the desk didn't speak English, German was the default and Italian came second, but gestures worked fine and she was patient and helpful. It felt like we got an off-season discount, and even at a higher price I'd stay again. Late in a long, frugal trip, the place felt like a breath of luxurious air. For a “3-star” hotel, this was great. Our double room was huge, with a walk-in closet, a big modern bathroom, and a balcony deep enough for a table and two chairs, looking toward distant mountains. There was also a table with soft chairs that probably fold out into a third bed. The rooftop Jacuzzi and sun loungers were the best part. Breakfast was included and incredible, and there was room service and a full bar downstairs. Smoking was allowed in the bar, but a sliding door separated it from the rest of the hotel and trapped the smoke, making it look like a fog machine was running overtime. The free Wi-Fi was strong.

My room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and roomy too. Breakfast was included and a big spread. The area is quiet, and it's a five-minute walk to the bus station and old town. The staff didn't seem especially friendly, and the cafe by reception reeked of cigarette smoke. Fine for one night.

The rooms have been newly refurbished and are modern, nicely designed, and comfortable, with good beds. The owners are great, breakfast was excellent, and the bar was nice. Very satisfied, thank you! 😊

The bar wouldn't take credit cards, and the welcome wasn't kind. The location is nice, close to the city center.
