Sensoria Dolomites

We loved the spot near the Seiser Alm cable car. It was an easy five-minute walk to the base, where we spent a day skiing. After the cold, the heated indoor and outdoor pool with its amazing views was especially nice, and the spa had an impressive range of saunas and a steam room. The hotel itself is a relaxing place to spend time, and our two-night stay at Sensoria last week was luxurious, stylish and comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic, and the restaurant was high quality. We hadn't booked full board, but had dinner there one night and it was delicious, with a real gourmet feel. The staff throughout were friendly and helpful. The Aesop products around the hotel were a nice touch too.

The location didn't work for me. It's at the bottom of a valley, so the sun goes down early and it's generally quite dark, unlike places higher up on the Alpe di Siusi, just one gondola ride away. There are also hardly any places to sit outside the spa and relax. The four small tables beside the main lobby felt shabby, and there wasn't much room to read or just unwind. My spa massage was terrible and below what I'd expect from a place like this. That said, we spent a few days here over Christmas 2024, and the spa was amazing. The sauna ritual felt truly unique to someone like me who wasn't used to the tradition, and the whole facility was impressive and comfortable. The rooms were cozy, and the restaurant was excellent for all meals and the afternoon aperitivo. A nice experience overall, but I wouldn't return to the region here. I'd rather try somewhere else.

It felt like a home we didn't want to leave. The place is luxurious but cozy, and everyone was easygoing. We could walk to the Seiser Alm ski station, had flexible lunch hours, and enjoyed the all-inclusive setup and its great drinks. So many details appealed to the senses, from the spa and room bathtub to the breakfast messages and the distinctive scents in each space. Our last dinner was worthy of Michelin, with saffron risotto and shrimp, a perfect beef filet, and soul-warming soups every day.

We stayed for six nights and had a wonderful time. The spa was fantastic and added a lot to the stay, and the staff looked after us really well. They were especially accommodating about arranging a private room where we could dine with our dog, which made the experience much nicer. Special thanks to Nicole and Ravi for their outstanding help.
