The main drawback was the weak Wi-Fi, and checkout was early. Still, Carmen and Carl are lovely hosts, and the apartment is clean, roomy, comfortable, and has everything you need. We enjoyed the garden and the view of the schiliar and valley. It’s on the edge of lovely Castelroto, well placed for alpe di suise and ortisei.

The owners are warm, helpful, and really kind. Local shops and services are close enough for a pleasant walk, from supermarkets and a patisserie to a butcher and points of interest. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby with interesting local options. The apartments look out over beautiful nature and are clean and modern, built and furnished with local wood and labour.

I loved the Alpe di Siusi, but I wouldn’t stay at this property again or recommend it. The apartment was clean and very spacious, though it lacked kitchen gear, basic cleaning supplies, and kitchen linens. The owners were kind, but also very cold and inflexible. Sometimes it felt like they were keeping an eye on every move we made. There’s also a 30% extra charge for stays under 7 nights. I couldn’t find that stated on the website, and I think it’s excessive.

The ski bus stops right beside the building, which makes this a great base for skiing. The apartments are clean and well maintained, and the location is lovely. I imagine it would be just as nice in summer.
