We really appreciated that the hotel welcomes pets. The shared terrace is large and lovely, and there’s free parking right outside. Staff were warm and friendly, even late at night. The room was fine, though the shower door was broken and had been replaced with a curtain, so the bathroom could use an update. There’s also a nice walkway across from the beach.

The terrace has a nice view of the castle, and the old town is close enough to reach with a baby stroller. Having private parking is handy, though it only fits about five cars. For the price, everything else was fine, including the standard breakfast. The room worked for our two-night stay, but the windows could be modernized: closing them didn’t block out the stormy sea, and reaching the top shower window meant using a chair.

The coffee was the one disappointment. Breakfast itself was okay, but with an automatic machine we ended up going to another bar each morning for cappuccino. We had a great two-night stay at Meli Hotel otherwise. Everyone was kind and helpful, our dog was welcome, and the room was comfortable with a beautiful view. The big terrace also has one of the best views of Castelsardo.

The staff were so kind when my wife twisted her ankle while we were out in town. They found ice for us at odd hours, called the pharmacy, and checked on her as she spent the whole next day sitting around the sun deck. They even reserved convenient breakfast tables without us asking. The room was lovely and well cared for too, and the sun deck had a beautiful view. Wonderful people.

The location and view were great, and the rooms were super clean. We stayed at Meli for a couple of nights and found the staff really friendly.
