Triscinamare Hotel

This was booked through DAE, later renamed 7Across, part of RCI. The whole stay was disappointing for the amount it cost, especially with the holiday rental income we gave up in the exchange. We can't recommend Triscinamare and won't use DAE/7Across again. The apartment is poorly equipped for cooking. There was no garlic press, tin opener, pasta serving utensil, large mugs, big beer or gin and tonic glasses, or ice tray. No kettle was supplied, even when we asked, so making tea wasn't really an option. There were also no cleaning supplies, washing-up liquid, scourer, dishcloth, or tea towels. Toilet paper and kitchen paper weren't included either. No fire blanket, extinguisher, or carbon monoxide monitor was provided despite the gas cooker. We were charged 200€ on arrival for linen, cleaning, air conditioning, and beach activities such as pedalos. There was also a 100€ deposit, returned only if you clean the apartment, especially the kitchen, so it's unclear what part of the 200€ covers cleaning. The shower was awful, and we had to ask the housekeeper to come back. At first they said the mould and scum wouldn't come off, but when my husband showed that it would, they cleaned it reluctantly. The oven, pots, pans, and cutlery were dirty too. When we asked for them to be cleaned, we were told that's how the previous guests had left them. Without cleaning products, it's hardly surprising. The bathroom also had an unpleasant sewage smell. We got one thin bath towel and one small guest towel each for the week, and there was no washing machine. We even had to use a towel as an oven glove. The air conditioning was restricted and shut off early in the morning, so we woke up very hot. Internet didn't work at all in the bedroom, despite the description saying it was available everywhere. We eventually found that you had to log off and back on each time. It would have helped to know that from the start, or during my many trips to reception for help. There were no windsurfers, pedalos, or canoes on the beach. The chairs and umbrellas were behind a fence rather than on the beach, and the area looked tatty. There was only a children's pool, no proper swimming pool, and the children's play area had worn plastic equipment. The whole place felt old-fashioned and run-down. We couldn't walk to a bar or restaurant either, since everything was closed or too far away.
