Giuseppe and his family treated the eight of us on our girls’ trip like family. He was always available for our many questions and requests. They came to cook dinner for us on two nights, and honestly, those were the best meals we had during our whole time in Italy. He and his daughter even helped plan a surprise party for our lead traveler. The cake was so delicious that everyone kept eating even after saying they couldn’t manage another bite! For getting around, I’d rent a car, but you can also arrange tours and transportation through Giuseppe. He’ll plan a great tour and feels like a local friend who’ll point you toward the best things to see and do. The wineries he picked were beautiful. I hadn’t intended to buy any wine, let alone cases of it, but trust him to arrange things. He won’t steer you wrong. I can’t wait to return to my home away from home!

The view over the infinity pool is amazing, and our host and his family were charming and ready to help if needed. Seven of us came from Toronto, Canada, for a fabulous three-week stay at this beautiful, well-equipped place. We cooked a lot, drank wine and explored local hill towns. Highlights included a dinner prepared for us at the villa and a day out with a driver and van, visiting three smaller wine producers, the Val D’orcia region and a couple of other towns along the way. A trip of a lifetime.
