Agriturismo Poggio Istiano

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, parking was available, and there was even an adorable kitten around the property. We stayed in the Almond apartment, which felt modern and cozy while still keeping its authentic character. I’m not keen on old farm rooms, so it suited me perfectly, though they also have rooms in a Tuscan farmhouse style. The views are breathtaking, and it’s easy to reach, with the area’s main attractions close by. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was a highlight every day, with Tiziana’s homemade cakes, local salami and cheeses, and plenty of other treats. She’s a wonderful host, and the atmosphere at Agriturismo Poggio Istiano is warm and welcoming. It’s perfectly placed in the heart of Val d’Orcia, with beautiful hilltop villages nearby to explore. We spent a wonderful week here, and I wholeheartedly recommend Poggio Istiano for an authentic, memorable stay in Tuscany. I can’t wait to come back.

After a fine breakfast of local delicacies, you can head out to the nearby medieval villages. The rooms are lovely, with rustic furniture and artifacts that each seem to have their own story, and there’s a magnificent view of the d’ orcia valley. This is an authentic old family farmhouse overlooking land the family still works with real passion. That same care comes through in the honest hospitality of its hostess, Tiziana, who takes care of just about everything. Simple Tuscan purity at its finest.

The morning breakfast, all locally sourced from the farm, was such a treat, and the beds were so comfortable. We got our best sleep in Italy here. The rooms are beautiful, and the rolling hills all around and the view right outside the door are amazing. Tiziana is an incredible host who made our stay better than we could have imagined. I can’t say enough, except that we’ll definitely be back. I can’t wait. Thank you for everything and for an experience of a lifetime.
