The location is stunning, but our six-day stay in April 2026 was seriously affected by problems with the heating and appliances. We were told on arrival that the heating system wasn’t working properly, and we had no heat and no hot water on three days. The host responded quickly when we called and the issue was temporarily resolved, but it was never repaired. On Easter Sunday, just after dinner, we heard a noise by the stove. While looking into it, we realized there was a gas leak, and the stove burst into flames. A technician had already been called because the heat and hot water had gone out again, and he managed to shut off the gas. If we’d gone to bed for the night, I might not be here writing this. Casamundo acknowledged the problems after we requested compensation and gave a very reasonable response, which pleased us. I’m sharing this so visitors take great care when considering this rental.

A lovely old villa tucked into one of Tuscany’s sweetest spots. The rooms are cozy, with green hills all around. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a vacation.

The garden pizza oven and sauna were both great, and the panoramic views were lovely. There were fresh herbs, too. Everything was clean and nice. 💕

The service was lovely. There’s no wifi, and a few places could use minor renovation.

The setting is wonderfully quiet, the location is unique, and the pool is exceptional. The house itself feels carelessly managed, though. Lighting in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen could be much better, and the knives need sharpening. I’d also like a more hygienic sink. The low, enclosed bathtubs and limited storage no longer feel up to standard. Furniture and cupboards have a musty smell, so putting clothes away isn’t inviting. A fresh coat of paint and some repairs would help make the price feel fair.
