For the price, it’s not bad. The campsite is fairly good, with shade and quiet if that’s what you’re after. But don’t use the washing machines if you care about your clothes. The lake is basically a dirty swamp, and walking on the “beach” hurts without shoes. Nature swimming isn’t really an option, and the pool has dangerous chlorine levels.

Cycling around Lake Trasimeno and watching the sunsets is priceless. Swimming in it isn’t possible, though, because the shores are muddy. The place itself is lovely, right by the beautiful lake, with an excellent bar for a hearty breakfast and a restaurant offering a good dinner selection. Absolutely recommended.

We were road-tripping and stayed for just one night. Everything else was fine, and the fireworks were nice, but the parking situation was odd. We asked the receptionist if we could keep the car with the tent on our pitch, and she said yes as long as it fit. It did, so we parked there, and we saw other guests with cars on their pitches too. After we’d gone to eat and shower, we came back to find a note saying we had to move the car. Reception was closed, and the man at the Cafe couldn’t clearly explain what was going on. Since it was only one night, it wasn’t too bad.

We stayed in a glamping tent and it was really comfortable. Delicious breakfast and swimming in the morning. The best camping ever, a great place. Book ahead, it’s super popular!

It was my first holiday like this, and the best time I’ve had in the past few years. I’d really recommend this place if you want peace and relaxation. There’s a beautiful lake, two swimming pools, lovely little homes, most with two bedrooms, and, above all, nature. Whether you bring a tent or a caravan, you’ll enjoy every minute here.
