The only drawbacks were a faulty insect screen and water leaking from the shower pipe. Otherwise, it was a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the relaxed pace, with plenty of good places to eat nearby. Anna and Giorgio know their food, so listen to their suggestions :)

Wonderful place.

We spent two weeks here as a family of 12, renting the whole farmhouse. The setting is charming, surrounded by nature, and the outside is beautiful and well cared for. Inside, though, there were serious problems. The dishwashers, shower heads, sinks and drains were in such bad shape that we had to try fixing them ourselves. The drains were badly clogged with limescale and nearly unusable. There was dust under the beds, and the downstairs walls had cracks that looked alarming. I also spent an afternoon repairing the boiler and resetting the timer for the outdoor lights, which had left us in darkness every night. The owners were arrogant when we raised the poor service, saying, “The Polish people who came before you didn’t have all these problems.” During the two weeks, they occasionally told us outsiders might enter our area. Gardeners, pool technicians and cleaners came by, as did neighbors and friends of the owners, who sometimes cut through our garden at all hours to avoid a long detour. When we left, the owners returned our deposit minus €50 for two plastic pool chairs with no cushions, which the sun had damaged. They showed us the purchase receipt. We reminded them of all the repairs and inconveniences we’d dealt with just to get by in the farmhouse. Their answer was, “But will you issue me an invoice?” We were stunned by their stinginess and arrogance, paid for one of the chairs, and left. We’re sure we’ll never come back.
