We had a great time in the excellent apartments, and the young, enthusiastic management were meticulous, professional, and friendly. There’s plenty to do at the property, from relaxing by the pool to walking or cycling, with nearby villages to visit too. Its hilly setting near Pozzuolo is well placed for exploring Tuscany and Umbria, close to Lake Trasimeno and beautiful Cortona, and about an hour by car from Perugia and Florence.

Staying in La vecchia Quercia, one of the apartments at the Romitorio farmhouse, was wonderfully peaceful, with a lovely view. It’s a truly enchanting place. Before leaving, we bought some of their own produce, including cured meats and jams, and it was fabulous.

We spent 15 days here in complete peace. The setting is enchanting, and the owners were so helpful, both priceless parts of the stay.
