The staff made us feel at home, remembering guests’ habits and adding thoughtful little touches. We came as three people even though the original booking was for two, and the hotel handled the extra guest quickly and easily after one simple request. We found Hotel Lucerna comfortable, clean, and peaceful, with helpful staff. It’s centrally located, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia. Free bicycles are available, handy for reaching the beaches without a car and enjoying the beautiful pine forest. Rooms are quiet and well soundproofed from both neighboring rooms and outside noise, even when parties or shows are happening near the center. Many have airy balconies, and there’s air conditioning. The modern, artistic furnishings make for a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is varied, with sweet and savory choices. There’s also a small terrace gym with an exercise bike, elliptical, kettlebell, and treadmill, useful when the weather doesn’t suit outdoor activities.

The hotel is nicely placed between the sea and historic center, with friendly staff. Free parking is available while spaces last, and the bicycle rentals are useful. Breakfast is decent, too. A good choice, especially at a reasonable price.

The hotel is right at the entrance to the passage leading into Castiglione della Pescaia's historic center, which makes the location great. This was my fifth year coming for four days, and my fifth time staying here. Housekeeping, breakfast, parking and the free bikes are all top-notch. Laura has added artistic touches throughout the hotel, too. Warm wishes to the whole team, especially Mrs. Laura. See you next year.

The rooms are modern, quiet and very clean, and the hotel has an elegant, artistic feel with lots of attention to detail. Breakfast is generous, varied and has something for everyone. There’s also private parking and free use of bicycles. The staff are warm, attentive and professional, and make you feel at home. Hotel Lucerna is a welcoming, stylish base in central Castiglione della Pescaia, with beaches, restaurants and attractions easy to reach on foot.

The opening on September 2nd is one I definitely plan to come back for, with a group exhibition. This contemporary art museum in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia, Grosseto, puts on beautifully curated shows featuring carefully selected emerging artists. In August, A. Crespi's optical art will be on display, with striking, clear and clean works. The opening aperitif is a lovely welcome drink before you see the exhibition, and the meal afterward at the restaurant offers excellent value.
