Cento Tarì Guest House

We ended our holiday here, and I'm glad we did, though I wish we'd found it earlier so we could have stayed longer. The hotel sits in a beautiful town that feels authentic rather than touristy. The people running it were warm and friendly, breakfast was great, and there were homemade cakes too. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. There's a shared terrace at the top of the building with one of the best views I've seen, almost a full 360 degrees over both Mount Etna and the town. We'll definitely come back.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and I loved the breakfast each morning. Our room had a lovely view, a modern clean bathroom, and a really comfortable bed. This was one of my favourite stays, and I hope we get to visit again.

Virginia, Marilena, and Salvo went out of their way to help us while our daughter was getting married nearby. The hotel was beautiful, and everything about our stay felt perfect. Breakfast was amazing each morning, and our granddaughters loved the chocolate milk. Our 12-year-old granddaughter couldn't stop talking about the place for days. None of the other hotels we stayed at later in Sicily or Rome came close. We loved it!

After four hours at Catania international waiting for our bags and car, my wife, sons, and I were pretty stressed about arriving in Sicily. That feeling faded as we climbed into Mount Etna's foothills and saw Castiglione di Sicilia. The directions from our hosts at Cento Tari were excellent, so we managed the old town roads easily. They welcomed us warmly, and the whole family was amazed by the view from our private terrace. The modern, very clean room had plenty of space for all of us. Marilena recommended a local restaurant and phoned ahead to book a table. We slept well, then had a great breakfast with espresso, fresh juice, cereal, and eggs. My boys ate an astonishing amount of watermelon from Virginia's father-in-law's garden. It's a beautiful architect-designed house with plenty of history, and we felt very welcome. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area again.
