We liked it so much that we added another week to our stay. The little apartments had everything we needed, including really fast Wi-Fi, and were just the right size for our trip. Le Quattro Piume sits between the sea and the snowy Gran Sasso peaks, with lovely views over the hills, the ancient city of atri, and a WWF heritage site. The grounds are spacious, with native fruit and olive trees and a big terrace for yoga or sunbathing. The hosts were amazing and did so much to make us comfortable. Villa San Romualdo is an easy walk away, with a small supermarket, a flower shop, and great mountain views. I’d definitely recommend it for a visit to Abruzzo.

We were four, including our kids, who are 7 and 11, and had plenty of room in the apartment. It was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, and had all the basics, with a well-stocked kitchen that even had salt and sugar. The hillside setting stays cool in the evenings and feels peaceful after a hike. We spent time relaxing in the big garden and on the spacious terrace. It’s well placed for both the mountains and the coast, with the lovely beach at nearby Pineto about a 30-minute drive away. A good fit if you want hiking and a quiet, green place to unwind.

Romina is such a gem, she really does everything she can to make you feel at home. The apartments have been freshly renovated and are nicely furnished. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, away from the tourist crowds, where you can get to know the real Italy. The views across the landscape are incredible. I’ve already booked again for next year.
