B&B Santa Maria Di Leuca

SO LOVELY. The hosts are soooooo kind and comforting, and the rooms were clean and soundproof. I couldn't hear the other people staying next door. It's super cute and boutique, and the location is perfect!!! Don't be shy about asking the hosts questions. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly cooked food and baked goodies. There's a restaurant by the sea, right by the B&B under the bridge, that I highly recommend. 10/10, would stay again :)

The rooms were clean, comfortable, very nice, and newly refurbished. Across the road from the B&B, you can walk down to a stunning rocky beach with crystal-clear emerald water, perfect for swimming and relaxing. There's also a little cave-like spot, probably just right for two people, where you can make yourself a private Mediterranean beach for the day. A dream! My wife and I came from NY hoping for a comfortable, low-key, real experience with real people from Puglia in a family-style but professional setting. Fernando and his parents made us feel very comfortable. Every morning came with a kind word and a genuine smile. Fernando always suggested good places to visit, with useful tips about the best beaches, when and where to go, a private boat tour of the unbelievable caves "grotte," and the area's unique historic cities. Breakfast was one of the day's highlights, a lovely way to wake up. Fernando made delicious cappuccinos, and his mother baked unbelievably great "Pasticcio Pugliese." She's a true chef pasticciera. Man, we'll miss these people! Walk left for five minutes and you'll reach the beautiful Lungo Mare of Leuca, with its restaurants, shops, and entertainment. It ends with a walk up to the gorgeous Lighthouse and the Duomo of S.Maria di Leuca, both a must-see. To the right, there are a couple of great street spots for cocktails, Mojitos, and Spritz, where you can watch the sun fall into the Mar Ionio at sunset 😎. This was the experience I wanted for my wife, and she loved it! I'd recommend staying here to anyone looking for this kind of real experience. I hope I can come back soon.

It's right on the coast, with a splendid front porch looking out over the sea, even though the Google map pin is misplaced. The hosts are what make this B&B a jewel: intelligent, kind, thoughtful, and with a twinkle in their eyes. It feels like home straight away. Why would you ever want to leave? There's free password-protected Wi-Fi and parking across the way, off the street. That street really is Via Filzi, though it comes down from the hillside and turns into the coast road at the B&B's front gate. Five stars for the place, and breakfast was over the top!

The terrace right across from the sea had amazing views, and the place itself was beautiful and quiet. We had a wonderful stay thanks to Magdalena and her husband's hospitality and kindness. This was the best breakfast of our holiday around la Puglia: everything was traditional and freshly baked at home by Magdalena, an extraordinary cook. She speaks perfect English and makes the best homemade marmalade cakes I've ever tasted. We also tried "frisa," a traditional food, and loved it. The tomatoes were absolutely amazing. Thanks for making us feel at home! We'll come back soon and stay longer.
