We were the only guests, so breakfast came with three different homemade cakes. The pasticciotto was sublime, the peach sbrisolona kept us going for another day on the Cammino del Salento, and the plum cake lasted until the following morning. We’d arrived with our backpacks and needed to get to dinner, so Assunta and Rosario drove us to the restaurant and came back to collect us. Such thoughtful hospitality, with fruit juice, coffee, and a Tuesday chat too. The rooms were elegant and spotless. Ten stars.

The family atmosphere and warmth are what made Casa di Giordy feel special to me. It’s also well placed for exploring Castro and Salento, and the whole place was kept beautifully clean and in order. Breakfast was a real morning treat, with a generous range of homemade food. The owner’s cakes were especially good, and you could taste the care she put into them. I spent a few days here and came away with nothing but good things to say. Highly recommended if you’re after peace, an authentic feel, and a dream breakfast.

We had a great stay. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was top-notch. It may not be a luxury B&B, but the way you’re treated feels luxurious. Assunta deserves ten stars for her hospitality. The cleanliness, helpfulness, and strategic location all earned my five stars.
