The hostess was thoughtful about keeping us cool and even offered us a bottle of sparkling wine, which was a lovely touch. She was kind and shared all the information we needed for a pleasant stay in Castro. The house, bedroom, and bathroom were very clean. Our room and bathroom were both large, with a refrigerator and air conditioning. Parking was excellent: I always found a spot right in front, at any time, in the white-lined spaces. Castro’s center is a 5-minute walk away, the Marina is a little farther, and the train passes just 2 minutes away. We stayed here with my girlfriend in August and highly recommend it. I think booking directly by phone is better than using Booking.com.

Mrs. Francesca was so kind and courteous, always smiling, helpful, and discreet. The B&B was very clean, including the bathroom, and breakfast was really delicious. We stayed from 20/8 to 26/8, and left today feeling so sad to go. Castro Marina is enchanting, with a wonderful sea and welcoming people. We returned to Rome with an unforgettable week in our hearts. Thank you so much from the heart. Salento steals our hearts.

I first contacted the lady on WhatsApp to ask about booking a double room. She quoted €170, but then I saw that Booking.com was cheaper for the same dates. I booked there instead. Once she noticed the reservation, she messaged me on WhatsApp asking me to pay the difference between Booking.com’s price and hers. I cancelled right away.

The toilet was filthy, and there wasn’t any toilet paper, so we had to take some from the bathroom in the other room. During our week there, the sheets and towels weren’t changed at all. The breakfast also wasn’t the buffet advertised on the websites. Instead, we had to walk about 800 meters to a nearby café. There were other issues too, but I’ll stop there.

Arianna was remarkably professional. The room was spacious, always clean, and had its own bathroom. The property is right by the sea, with plenty of free parking, and it’s only steps from the historic center and five minutes from the sea.
