B&B La Petrosa

I wouldn’t want to repeat this experience. We reached the place at midnight, even though check-in was meant to finish at 10 PM. They charged us an extra €20, and said it would have been €50 if we’d arrived just 10 minutes later. Their card terminal didn’t work, and they asked for cash without giving a receipt. There were no electrical outlets in the room and no air conditioning, despite the listing saying it was available. There was no breakfast either. I had to pay for coffee from the vending machine myself, after we’d already paid €110 for two people at a B&B far out in the mountains, where there’s nowhere to go. They did provide free drinking water, but it was room temperature and had a bitter aftertaste. We were told to check out by 9am because otherwise the electric gate would jam and we wouldn’t be able to leave. I felt they’d then ask us for another €20, just as they had for arriving late. It felt like being robbed. For me, this place is worth zero. I gave it one star because that’s the minimum. I’d never go back, even for free.

We arrived without a car after ours left us stranded, and the lady made me feel right at home. She was so helpful. The place itself is nice and welcoming, and the owners are genuinely kind and friendly. A very positive experience.

There was free drinking water, available in whatever quantity you wanted, and everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was served on time and carefully, one family at a time, which felt almost luxurious. The only thing that stood out was the transparent colored plastic bathroom cabinet, though it seemed very safe. Getting there was an adventure in itself, with a surprise at every turn, loose rocks and wild fennel along the way. It felt a bit like driving a Speedway car. If you’ve never been to a boarding school, this might be an experience to try right away. A beautiful series of emotions.

The welcome was warm, the parking was great, and the view was magnificent, even with the very discreet cement factory nearby. The road in is rough on the suspension, though, and the price felt high for what you get. Breakfast was industrial, with too much plastic packaging and no variety at all. Of the two rooms, one was acceptable apart from the partition wall between them. The bathroom in bedroom 2 needs renovating. The pool wasn’t included in the price and didn’t look very inviting. Best for guests who aren’t too demanding.
