The host was so friendly and shared tips that made our time even better. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas at Al centro di tutto and had a wonderful time in this warm, comfortable home. The beds were comfortable with plenty of warm blankets, the bathroom was clean and roomy, and the kitchen had lots of useful utensils. The interior and exterior design had a lovely Sicilian feel. Great place for the price, don't miss it!

The location is good, but I can't say that about the rest. We found the small room filthy, from the floors and walls to the sheets and bathroom, and there was a strong moldy smell. We stayed for about an hour before finding another apartment that same day. There are plenty of places in the center, and this one isn't worth the money.

This was the worst stay I've ever had. The room and bathroom were dark, damp and moldy, and the basic hygiene was so poor that I can't recommend the place. The room was far too cramped for two people, with a double bed, a tiny closet that held maybe four or five shirts, and a little table with two chairs taking up all the space. There were no proper windows, only a French-style balcony opening onto the stairs and courtyard, so we could hear everything and couldn't really use it. The walls were dirty, and I wasn't sure the bedding had been properly washed. It had no particular smell, but there were visible hairs and dirt marks on the sheets. For four days we got one face towel, one hand towel and one bath towel, with no daily cleaning. They became very damp and used by the end. The bathroom was covered in mold and hadn't been cleaned properly. The shower cabin was so small I could barely fit, and I think it would be impossible for a taller or bigger person to bathe there without touching the moldy walls. Even the air conditioner, the only thing that helped with the warm, humid air, looked moldy and dirty inside. It seemed like it could be blowing mold and bacteria around. Noise made it impossible to rest. We could hear the street and other rooms clearly. During our stay, people in the other rooms shouted, yelled and slammed doors through the night and into the morning. Some also left food scraps in the fridge when they checked out. The one good thing was the location, close to the city center, so public transport wasn't really needed. But the street was dirty, full of trash, smelly and loud, with noisy neighbors. We booked because the kitchen looked cute, clean and nice, but it was apparently forbidden to use except for making coffee or tea. That ruined our meal plans, and I wouldn't call that a kitchen. I don't think a lower price excuses a total lack of basic hygiene or cleaning. We book places often, but this was a disaster. We were also charged 16 euros without any payment document or official paperwork.

The sheets and towels were disgusting. Don't stay here. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but now the owner is messaging me through booking and blaming me. We arrived around midnight, as we had said when booking. Someone on staff kept knocking on the main door and told us to take only the room key from the bunch. We did, but in the morning another person tried to enter our room because the rest of the keys had been left outside and he thought we'd already gone. At checkout, we left the tax money on the room table as requested. Now the owner says we caused confusion with the keys and didn't leave the money.
