Al Quadrato D Oro

We really enjoyed the fruit at breakfast, and there was even a little laundry hanger in the clean, recently renovated room. The bed and bathroom were clean too. There's an elevator, though you still have to climb 7-8 steps. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived around 4:30 in the morning, and Andrea was waiting outside the building to help us. Grazie Andrea! It's a great location, just a two-minute walk from Piazza Duomo. Nights and mornings can be noisy, but that's part of staying downtown amid Italian nightlife. I recommend this place.

We loved our stay. The room was very clean and had the most comfortable bed. Our hosts were lovely and helped us get around town on the local buses, as well as sharing great ideas for places to visit and eat. Historic sites, restaurants and nightlife were all within easy walking distance.

Alessia was incredibly helpful. She suggested places to eat and visit, booked an excursion to Mt. Etna for me, and helped me find a pharmacy for a COVID test before I returned to the USA. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and just a couple of minutes' walk from the Duomo and other attractions. Breakfast was very good too.

The staff were very kind and spoke fluent English and Spanish. We had a good time, and I'd recommend the clean room, which is close to public transport and the center of catania. The nearby nightclubs stay open very late, so people can be loud in the street all night. We just closed the windows and it was quiet enough for us.
